Pro DTP, but not for the feint-of-heart

We use InDesign to create marketing communications materials that have technical content, as well as for the design of reports that present technical data to executive consumers within the company. Using InDesign has both improved the quality (look & feel) of our products and reduced the production time.

Pros

Adobe InDesign offers a wealth of tools for creating complex documents that can be rendered in a wide variety of formats, from print to digital and from desktop to mobile. As a member of the Adobe software ecosystem, InDesign has relatively seamless integrations into other Adobe tools, such as their font library, which makes layout work easy.

Cons

To use InDesign successfully for more than the simplest tasks requires a pretty steep learning curve. Clearly, in the hands of an experienced layout professional, it can work wonders, but taking InDesign on its first "test run" without relying on the supplied templates can be daunting. However, mastering the basics allows for more ability to design complex items.

Great Product

I work from home as a design/marketing contractor. InDesign gives me the ability to design captivating materials and high quality designs. I'm surprised that more designers don't use InDesign for their designs, instead relying on Illustrator and Photoshop. Particularly if you are working on a multi-page product, this is the best design software you can use!

Pros

I like that InDesign give you the flexibility to design EXACTLY how you need to. The control over your design is almost unlimited. The product works seamlessly with other adobe products such as InDesign and Photoshop. Together, the suite is the ultimate design package.

Cons

The program is not intuitive. It's very hard to teach people how to use it. Words, shapes, etc. don't make sense to someone who has never used the program, so even teaching someone how to adjust text is hard if they have no experience

A superb tool to crate company brochure or magazines

It's highly recommended to use the software to create quality graphic for commercial use. Companies may need to concern about pricing when they choose Adobe InDesign to use in their companies. Since the software goes well with all the Adobe products. It is more suitable for the organizations which use Adobe products more in their work.

Pros

The software is easy to use and it brings editor and writer together to create comprehensive graphical output. Creative cloud library helps users to share their work, colors and styles. It helps us to create interactive eBooks or magazines powered by slideshows and even animations. Our customers are exceptionally fulfilled the fine arts completed by Adobe InDesign.

Cons

In the event that the user works with numerous undertakings, it can slowdown the performance of the computer and to avoid such issues it needs high performance PCs which can be pricey. Occasionally user can be confused with the massive number of tools available and it has lengthy learning curve.
